Application and selection

Please send your application (email is oke) before September 2010. It should contain:

• a (summarized) curriculum including previous work
• address, phone, email
• languages spoken/understood
• project description
• listing of materials, machines and infrastructure needed
• rough time schedule including the prefered period of your stay
• motivation for applying
• the relation to Vättis and/or the sculpture path
• a proposal for public art events
• a proposal for activities with (part of) the school pupils of Vättis (43 children ranging from 4 to 13 years of age)

The whole application may be brief, but should explicitly address the above and should only use other sources of information (like your website) as non-essential additions.

Selection criteria

• completeness of the application
• relation to Vättis and/or the sculpture path
• originality
• previous work (if applicable)
• feasibility (local inhabitants, material, experience, location, language etc.)
• lasting effect
• proposal for public art events
• a proposal for activities with (part of) the school pupils of Vättis

As we don't have a clear idea of what kind of projects will be proposed, it is hard to make a selection only according to strictly objective criteria. Some subjective judging will play a role also. The main interest of the organizors should be clear in the description of this invitation and the application documentation asked for.

Selection procedure

1. Application closing date: September 2010
2. The selection is made according to the criteria above by the board of the association and external advisors
3. Search for sponsors, check with landlords, authorities etc. for a feasibility check
4. Selection known to all applicants: end of November 2010 at the latest
5. Rejections will be motivated
