Support for art projects

In general and anytime

The Association Sculpture Path Vättis (Verein Skulpturenweg Vättis) would like to support artists who want realize a project in and around Vättis. Firstly by assessing the feasibility of any proposal, and then through networking and advertising the selected project(s). Although finances are at present limited we are, in principle, open to any proposal that relates to Vättis and is accessible to residents and guests.

"Verein Skulpturenweg Vättis lädt ein"

An invitation from the Vättis Sculpture Path association

For the year 2011, we hope to organize a "Artist in Residence" project in Vättis. At the moment, it is still unsure wether we will succeed. We would like to invite two artists, who will live and work in Vättis for one month each. The proposed work(s) should relate to Vättis and its existing sculpture path. The Resident Artists should also be prepared to engage with residents and guests by means of presentations, workshops, exhibitions or similar during their period of residence. Their work will, in one form or another, stay in Vättis so that future guests can also see and appreciate it.

Applications are open to artists from all Fine Art disciplines and to writers and composers from the whole world. You should preferably have some ability to express yourself in German, French of English.

We aim to provide artists a place to stay, catering, infrastructure and materials. Also, a fixed fee for travelcosts and work will, we hope, be made available by the Association. The Association will help with initial contact, organize publicity in the regional media and internet, and will document on its website the presence, work and activities of the artists in Vättis.

At the present time it is still uncertain if this will happen. We are looking for sponsors. Applications should arrive before september 2011. In principle, we are open for any proposals the could fit into our ideas.
