Land Art

From May 2010 onwards, various short lived (land) art projects around Vättis have been realized. A new project "Bartgeiers Z'nüni" was finished in novembre and placed alongside the road to Kunkels, 900 meters from the village. The work of the sculptor Gyelt Tuinstra consists of a four-part wood sculpture and a fairy tale. The title refers to the swiss word for breakfast of a bearded vulture. Bearded vultures were recently released into the wild in Vättis.

Early summer 2011 a herd of cows was presumably driven through the sculpture. The board is trying to restore the sculpture and in the mean time appologizes for its poor condition.

Publications

The book "Vättner Skulpturenweg" (Sculpturepath Vättis) has been published end of novembre 2010. It is available in our (german) internet shop or you can use our contact information to declare your interest. For more information about the book, please see our german flyer.

There is a publication by the printshop Offizin Parnassia Vättis that appeared in the summer of 2009 under the title "Stone Print", in which frottages (brass rubbings) of the stones in the intermediate stages of being worked on during the Stone Sculpture Symposium 2009 are shown.
